3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO RIVER CITY
4 CONSTRUCTION, PLLC, FOR RENOVATION OF THE
5 AVIARY/AMPHITHEATER EXHIBIT AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; TO
6 AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
7 WITH RIVER CITY CONSTRUCTION, PLLC, FOR SUCH SERVICES;
8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Zoo's leadership has determined that the Zoo's Aviary/Amphitheater Ex-
11 hibit needs to be renovated,and
12 WHEREAS,a Request for Proposals was issued for the Aviary/Amphitheater Exhibit renovation work,
13 and
14 WHEREAS, River City Construction, PLLC, provided the lowest responsive and responsible bid and
15 is ready and willing to accomplish the work.
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1.The Board of Directors hereby awards a contract to River City Construction,PLLC,to ren-
19 ovate the Zoo's Aviary/Amphitheater Exhibit for a contract amount not to exceed Seventy-Four Thousand,
20 Four Hundred Ninety Five and 95/100 Dollars($74,495.95),plus an additional 10%for any needed change
21 orders, for a total amount not to exceed Eighty-One Thousand,Nine Hundred Forty-Five and 55/100 Dol-
22 lars($81,945.55). The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract, in a form
23 acceptable to the City Attorney, for such services.
24 Section 2. The funds for the contract are to come from the Zoo's deferred maintenance account.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-
27 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect
28 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso-
29 lution.
30 Section 4.Repealer. All ordinances,resolutions, bylaws,and other matters inconsistent with this reso-
31 lution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
