AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE
LITTLE ROCK CODE OF ORDINANCES, PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE 2003
ARKANSAS PLUMBING CODE WITH 2003 REVISIONS,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark. Rev. Code 8 -474A (a)(1) adopts by reference the 2003
edition of the Arkansas Plumbing Code with Appendixes, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K and 2003
Revisions; and
WHEREAS, the City has compiled with Ark. Code Ann. 4 14 -55 -207 (1987) by
publishing a notice of intent to adopt these technical codes by reference in a paper of general
circulation within the municipality and three copies of codes have been available for inspection
in the City Clerk's Office by the public prior to their adoption; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance amendment is necessary to update the City Code and
authorize the use of the 2003 edition within the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. This section of Little Rock, Ark. Rev. Code � 8 -474A (1988) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
(a) The following publications are adopted by reference:
(1) The "2003 Arkansas Plumbing Code" with Appendixes "B ", C, D, E, F, G, H,
I, J, K, and 2003 Revisions.
(2) Not withstanding the provisions of (1) above, the City consistent with other
provisions of State law shall set the job qualifications for its employees. No
job qualifications contained in the 2003 AR Plumbing Code are adopted in
any form whatsoever.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this provision are
hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict.
