13791 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,791 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO CONTRACTS WITH ONE (1) ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE 5 NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED AFTER-SCHOOL/OUT-OF—SCHOOL TIME 6 EXPANDED YOUTH PROGRAM SERVICES FOR LITTLE ROCK 7 YOUTH AGES SIX (6) – ELEVEN (11) IN TARGETED 8 NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention and Youth 11 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building; and, 12 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Request for Qualifications No. 13149 to solicit applicants 13 to provide Neighborhood-Based Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Expanded Youth Program Services for 14 Little Rock youth ages six(6)–eleven(11) in targeted neighbors for Little Rock youth; and, 15 WHEREAS, a pre-review committee met to determine qualifications; and met following close of Bid 16 to review RFQs submitted August 29, 2013, and determined the applicant qualified to deliver these 17 Neighborhood-Based Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Expanded Youth Program Services, and 18 recommends the Little Rock Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Arkansas for contract awards. 19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. Contracts for Neighoborhood-Based Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Programs are 22 hereby awarded to the following organization, sites and target neighborhoods: 23 24 Little Rock Boys/Girls Clubs-Thrasher(Central -6-11) $75,000.00 25 Little Rock Boys/Girls Clubs-Mitchell(Midtown-6-11) $75,000.00 26 Little Rock Boys/Girls Clubs-Whetstone(Southwest- 6-11) $75,000.00 27 Little Rock Boys/Girls Clubs-Penick(West-6-11) $75,000.00 28 Total $300,000.00 29 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with this organization providing 30 Neighborhood-Based Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Expanded Youth Program Services for Little Rock 31 youth ages six(6)–eleven(11) in targeted neighborhoods. 32 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from 2011 Little Rock tax revenue, account number 33 Si 5A 192/93/94/95. [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 4. The term of the contract is from October 1,2013,to September 30, 2014. 2 Section 5. Severabiliry. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be 3 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 4 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 5 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution. 6 Section 6. Repealer.
