13787 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,787 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH COLORADO STANDBY, LLC, IN THE 5 AMOUNT OF FIFTY THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS 6 ($50,850.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) TOWABLE 7 GENERATOR FOR USE BY THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND 8 BUILDING SERVICES DIVISIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, since September 11, 2001, the City of Little Rock has become eligible for several 11 emergency service equipment grants; and, 12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock City Manager's Office/Emergency Management Division is committed 13 to improving emergency response throughout the City; and, 14 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal, the City Manager's Office/Emergency Management 15 Division proposes the purchase the one(1)towable generator for use by the Emergency Management and 16 Building Services Divisions in the event of power outages; and, 17 WHEREAS, Bid No. 13151 was issued for the purchase of one (1) towable generator and Colorado 18 Standby, LLC, submitted the most responsive and responsible bid in the amount of Fifty Thousand, Eight 19 Hundred Fifty Dollars ($50,850.00), for use by the Emergency Management and Building Services 20 Divisions in the event of power outages; 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 24 Colorado Standby, LLL, for the purchase of one towable generator in the amount of Fifty Thousand, 25 Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars($50,850.00). 26 Section 2. The State Homeland Security Grant Program is providing 100% of the funding for this 27 purchase,with no fiscal impact on the City of Little Rock. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. 33 Section 4. Repealer.
