3 A RESOLUTION TO SET DECEMBER 5, 2005, AS THE DATE OF
4 HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF
5 GAMBLE ROAD LOCATED WITHIN TRACT 10, AND A PORTION
6 OF OLD MARKHAM STREET IN TRACT 7, HILLVALE
7 ADDITION, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS PUBLIC RIGHT -
8 OF -WAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the
11 Board of Directors vacate and abandon a portion of Gamble Road located within Tract
12 10, Hillvale Addition lying North of the North right -of -way line of Chenal Parkway,
13 and that portion of Old Markham Street lying South of and adjacent to the East 1/2 of
14 Tract 7, Hillvale Addition, as public rights -of -way, pursuant to its general police power
15 authority under Ark. Code Ann. §14 -54 -104, in the City of Little Rock.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned
19 rights -of -way shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little
20 Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six o'clock on the 51" day of December, 2005.
21 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in
22 the manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in
23 a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation
24 in the City of Little Rock.
