12122I 2 RESOLUTION NO. 12,122 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF 5 LOT 3R, BLOCK 40, ORIGINAL CITY ADDITION FOR THE 6 PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A DOWNTOWN POLICE SERVICE 7 CENTER, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, in 2003, voters of the City of Little Rock approved a city capital 10 improvement bond issue, which included $500,000 for the acquisition of real property 11 and construction and furnishing of a downtown police service center, and 12 WHEREAS, after the evaluation of available properties throughout the area, it 13 has been determined that the Southeast corner of the intersection of East Capitol 14 Avenue and Cumberland Street would be the best choice for the location of the facility, 15 and 16 WHEREAS, the cost of acquisition of the property described as Lot 3R, Block 40, 17 Original City Addition to the City of Little Rock will be Sixty -seven Thousand, Five 18 Hundred Dollars ($67,500.00). 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute all necessary documents for 22 the purchase of Lot 3R, Block 40, Original City Addition to the City of Little Rock, 23 Arkansas, for the purpose of constructing a downtown police service enter thereon. 24 Section 2.
