11891I 2 RESOLUTION NO. 11,891 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE 4 CONTRACT WITH FIVE ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE 5 YOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD -BASED OUT -OF- SCHOOL TIME 6 PROGRAMS IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND FOR 7 OTHER PURPOSES. 0 9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, 10 intervention and treatment services to enhance public safety, community- building, and 11 youth development for Little Rock youth; and 12 WHEREAS, the current contracts have an option for one additional one -year 13 extension based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors 14 appropriations. 15 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the 18 following organizations for one year to provide neighborhood based prevention 19 programs for youth: 20 Operations 21 Program Budget 22 Promiseland Ministries (Hisp) Southwest $ 41,530 23 Pulaski Juvenile Services (SW) 33,602 24 Pulaski Juvenile Services (East) 31,498 25 Pulaski Juvenile Services (East) 22,500 26 Little Rock Boys /Girls Club - Thrasher (Midtown) 43,415 27 Greater Friendship (East) 49,582 28 Greater Friendship (Southwest) 37,327 29 Inner City FutureNet (Midtown) 35,033 [PAGE 1 OF 2] Resolution 2004 NBPP Extension I Section 2. The term of this contract extension shall be from January 1, 2005, 2 through December 31, 2005. 3 Section 3. Funding for these programs is from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue 4 specified for prevention and intervention programs, account number 105 - 035 -T297. 5 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 6 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 7 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remaining full force and s effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 9 originally a part of this resolution. to Section 5. Repealer.
