11877RESOLUTION NO. 11,877 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE 4 CONTRACT WITH TWO ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE s NEIGHBORHOOD SUPPORT CENTER SERVICES; AND FOR 6 OTHER PURPOSES. s WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to prevention, intervention and 9 treatment programs to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth 10 development; and, 11 WHEREAS, the current contract with BCD (Black Community Developers) and 12 Step Up Support Center has an option for one additional one -year extension based on 13 their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations. 14 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the 17 following organizations for one year to provide neighborhood support center services 18 to Little Rock residents 18 years and older: 19 Operations 20 Program Budget 21 Black Community Developers (BCD)- Midtown $ 125,000.00 22 Step Up Support Center - Southwest 125,000.00 23 24 Section 2. The term of this contract extension shall be from January 1, 2005 to 25 December 31, 2005. 26 Section 3. Funding for these programs is from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue 27 specified for prevention and intervention programs, account number 105 - 035 -T300. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 2 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 3 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remaining full force and 4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 5 originally a part of this resolution. 6 Section 5. Repealer.
