3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH METROPOLITAN FIRE IN THE AMOUNT
5 OF ONE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS
6 ($110,500.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF 500 FIREFIGHTING SCBA
7 FACEPIECES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, specifications have been written and approved by the members serving on the Fire
11 Department SCBA Committee for the purchase of firefighting SCBA Facepieces for the Little Rock Fire
12 Department; and,
13 WHEREAS, a bid was issued for the purchase of Facepieces, and the sole bid received was from
14 Metropolitan Fire, in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty-One Dollars ($221.00) per unit for a total
15 amount of One Hundred Ten Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($110,500.00);
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
19 Metropolitan Fire, for the purchase of 500 SCBA Facepieces for the total amount of One Hundred Ten
20 Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($110,500.00).
21 Section 2. Funding for this purchase will come from City of Little Rock sales tax revenue.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
28 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
