6640 RESOLUTION NO. 6 ,640
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO FILE LAWSUITS WITHOUT
FURTHER APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS ON ALL CASES INVOLVING AN
AMOUNT LESS THAN FIVE-THOUSAND DOLLARS
($5 , 000 . 00) ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS , there are numerous individuals who owe the
City of Little Rock monies for debts , licenses and fines ; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors must authorize the City
Attorney to file suits on each of these claims , and
WHEREAS , an individual authorization for each matter
would be cumbersome .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTT.E ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Attorney is hereby authorized to file
suit for the City without further approval of the Board of
Directors on all cases involving an amount less than five-thousand
dollars ($5 ,000 . 00) .
Section 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval.
