6578 RESOLUTION NO. 6 , 578
A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS
LIBRARY SYSTEM' S PLANNING PROCESS AND THEIR
ONGOING ATTEMPT TO PROVIDE THE CITIZENS OF
LITTLE ROCK WITH MAXIMUM LIBRARY SERVICE ;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the Central Arkansas Library System and its
Board of Trustees have submitted a grant proposal to the
Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation for assistance in their
Planning Process ; and
WHEREAS , the planning process will constitute an
attempt to clearly define the role of the public library
in the community and to determine ways in which the citizens
of Little Rock can be provided maximum service with the use
of the limited funds available ; and
WHEREAS , the Central Arkansas Library System and its
Board of Trustees have requested an expression of support
for their planning process .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas hereby endorses and supports the planning process
of the Central Arkansas Library System and its Board of Trustees .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval.
