A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING UP TO TWENTY
POSITIONS IN THE CETA TITLE IV-C YOUTH
EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGRAM FOR A CITY
CLEANUP CAMPAIGN.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock has appropriated all available funds for the City' s
annual Spring Cleanup and Larvacide Program; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert "Say" McIntosh has requested
assistance in order to undertake a supplemental City cleanup
program; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to encourage
such efforts to improve the cleanliness and health of the
community; and
WHEREAS, funds for the employment of persons for such a
cleanup campaign are available through the CETA Title IV-C
Youth Employment Training Program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1 . The Board of Directors authorizes the
allocation of up to twenty positions in the 1981 Youth
Employment Training Program for a cleanup campaign under the
direction of Mr . Robert "Say" McIntosh .
SECTION 2. The Economic Opportunity Agency will
administer the program. Recruitment will be the
responsibility of the Economic Opportunity Agency and
Mr. McIntosh. The intake and certification of CETA
eligibility of participants will be the responsibility of
the Economic Opportunity Agency and the CETA Central Intake
Office .
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval .
