A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO OFF STREET PARKING
FACILITIES ACCOMMODATING THE CIVIC CENTER-
HOTEL CENTER NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Civic Convention-Hotel Center is now under construction between
La Harpe Boulevard, Main Street, Markham Street and Ashley Streets in the City of
Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, the sum of Four hundred thousand ($400,000.00) dollars of the proceeds
of the City of Little Rock Hotel and Restaurant Gross Receipt Tax Bonds (Little Rock
Civic Center Project) Series 1980 has been allocated to assist in defraying the cost
of off street parking facilities necessary to accommodate the Civic Convention-Hotel
Center; and,
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Municipal Parking Authority is, in keeping with its
authority and jurisdiction, considering and has proposed securing a feasibility
study and architectural and related services for such facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the. Board of Directors totally supports the goals, objectives and
plans of the Little Rock Municipal Parking Authority in this endeavor and therefore
concurs with and approves the proposals above referred to and encourages the said
Authority to proceed with the project and all phases therein involved with full
authority to act for the City of Little Rock in any and all matters not legally
requiring action by the Board of Directors; and,
WHEREAS, the proposals of the Little Rock Municipal Parking Authority have the
approval of the Advertising and Promotion Commission of the City of Little Rock.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS,
SECTION 1, The Little Rock Municipal Parking Authority is authorized to make
banking arrangements for the purpose of depositing monies from the referenced
$400,000.00 bond funds and expending therefrom such sums, in its discretion, from
time to time for any purpose related to the planning for, design and development of
off street parking facilities necessary and desirable to accommodate the Civic Con-
yention-Hotel Center now under construction pursuant to a contract between the City
of Little. Rock. and Little Rock Center Associates, Ltd, dated April 17, 1979, as
amended,

SECTION 2. The Commercial National Bank, Trustee pursuant to that certain Trust
Indenture dated September 15, 1980 between the City of Little Rock, Arkansas and The
Commercial National Bank of Little Rock, Arkansas is authorized to transfer and pay
over to the Little Rock Municipal Parking Authority for deposit to the credit of its
account authorized in Section 1 above such amounts from time to time as said Authority
may in writing request.
SECTION 3, This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
