6442 RESOLUTION NO . 6 , 442
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PROPOSED
CONSTITUTION OF 1980 ; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , on November 4 , 1980 , the voters of Arkansas
will decide whether to adopt a new State Constitution; and
WHEREAS , the current Arkansas Constitution adopted in
1874 contains many obsolete , antiquated provisions ; and
WHEREAS , the provisions of the proposed Constitution of
1980 are designed to allow government at all levels within
our State to operate in an effective , efficient and
responsive manner.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. We hereby endorse the proposed Constitution
of 1980 and recommend that all qualified electors vote for
the proposed Constitution of 1980.
SECTION II . This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval .
