A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
ATTORNEY 'S OFFICE TO FILE AN APPEAL
ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE MUNICIPAL JUDGES ' RETIREMENT FUND
AND THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK IN THE
CASE OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES ET. AL. V.
JOANN BEARD, PULASKI CIRCUIT NO.
79-5589; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Municipal Judges ' Retirement Fund and
Board of Trustees had previously filed suit in Circuit Court
v . JoAnn Beard regarding payment from the retirement; and
WHEREAS, the Circuit Court found for Ms . Beard in that
suit; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Trustees of
the Municipal Judges ' Retirement Fund to appeal said case
and to have the City join in the appeal .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . The City Attorney ' s office is hereby
authorized to file an appeal on behalf of the Board of
Trustees of the Municipal Judges ' Retirement Fund and the
City of Little Rock in the case of Board of Trustees et. al
v . JoAnn Beard.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval .
