A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO SALE AGREEMENTS FOR CERTAIN SURPLUS
REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY; REQUIRING
THE PURCHASERS TO COVENANT THAT THEY WILL
NOT ALLOW ANY OFF-PREMISE ADVERTISING;
REJECTING BIDS RECEIVED ON CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, an Invitation to Bid was duly advertised, and
bids received pursuant thereto are as follows :
Parcel 14-S , 1001 East Roosevelt Road, for $23 ,100.
Parcel 34-S , 2301 West Markham, for $1 , 500.
Parcel 37-S , 105 Barton, for $2, 500.
Parcel 40-S , 7 09 South Oak, for $1 , 500.
Parcel 44-S , 4611 Asher, for $3 , 000.
Parcel 10-S , 1019 South Cross , for $2, 000.
WHEREAS , by Resolution No. 6260, adopted on
December 18 , 1979 , the Board of Directors authorized the sale
of certain surplus real property owned by the City; and
WHEREAS , certain bids on certain real properties owned
by the City specified as : Parcels 3-S and 4-S , 1301-1305 and
1319 Center Street , for $14, 233 and Parcels 15-S ,
2900 Martel and 16-S , 2904 Martel, should be rejected due
to the fact that the bid on Parcels 3-S and 4-S reflects only
50 percent of the land value of those parcels, and the bid on
Parcels 15-S and 16-S represents only 20 percent of the
market value of those parcels.
INOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into sales agreements for certain surplus real property
owned by the City and described above.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby required to
require the purchasers of the above described real property
to covenant that they will not allow any off-premise
advertising.
SECTION 3. The bids received by the City on certain
real properties specified as Parcels 3-S , 4-S , 15-S and 16-S
are hereby rejected, as those bids represent less than the
total market value of those parcels.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
