3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE LITTLE ROCK PLANNING
4 BOUNDARY (ORDINANCE NO. 18,488 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE
5 NO. 20,638) TO MOVE THE BOUNDARY WEST AND NORTH AT THE
6 PRATT ROAD/INTERSTATE 530 INTERCHANGE; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, Arkansas Act 186 of 1957 permits cities of the first and second-class to approve a
10 planning area of five(5)miles for subdivision review and other planning issues; and,
11 WHEREAS, in order to ensure quality growth, the City of Little Rock finds a need to implement
12 subdivision and other planning controls outside the current City limits in areas which may reasonably
13 become part of the City in the future; and,
14 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission recommends the Board of Directors approve the
15 revision to planning boundary map as shown on the attached map;
16 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Planning Boundary is changed as follows: Starting at the SW corner of the NW 1/4
19 Section 23, T-1-S, R-12-W on the Little Rock Planning Boundary set with Ordinance No. 18,488 of 2001
20 as amended by Ordinance No. 20,638; thence north along the west boundary line of Section 23, T-1-S, R-
21 12-W to the NW corner of said Section; thence east along the south boundary line of Section 14, T-1-S,
22 R-12-W to the SE corner of the SW 1/4 of said Section;thence north along the mid north-south line of said
23 Section to the NE corner of the NW 1/4 said Section; thence east along the north boundary line of said
24 Section to the NE corner of said Section; thence continuing north, east, west and south along the current
25 Planning Boundary (Ordinance No. 18,488 as amended by Ordinance No. 20,638) to the point of
26 beginning.
27 Section 2.This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
