A RESOLUTION WAIVING COMPETITIVE
BIDDING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR BUSING
SERVICE FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK SUMMER
RECREATION PROGRAM TO THE LITTLE ROCK
SCHOOL DISTRICT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that an exceptional
situation exists and the competitive bidding procedure is not
feasible in the case of a contract for busing service for the
City of Little Rock Summer Recreation Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . It is hereby determined that the competitive
bidding procedure is not feasible in the case of a contract
for busing service for the City of Little Rock Summer
Recreation Program and the requirement of competitive bidding
is , therefore , hereby waived.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to award a
contract for busing service for the City of Little Rock
Summer Recreation Program to the Little Rock School District
for the price as shown on the attached exhibit , the funds for
which have been allocated in the 1980 budget.
SECTION 3. From time to time as may be required , the
City Manager and the Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrants in
payment of the contract price.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
