6255 RESOLUTION NO. 6,255
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
AWARD A CONTRACT FOR ROOF REPAIR AT THE
GRANITE MOUNTAIN AND SOUTH LITTLE ROCK RECREA-
TION CENTERS ; WAIVING THE REQUIREMENT OF COM-
PETITIVE BIDDING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the competitive bidding procedure is not
feasible for the contract for roof repair at the Granite
Mountain and South Little Rock Recreation Centers because
the condition of the roof at each of these locations requires
immediate attention and an emergency, therefore , exists ; and
WHEREAS , there is an immediate and urgent need for
the repair of the roofs at these recreation centers and
such repair is necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . An emergency situation is hereby declared
to exist making the competitive bidding procedure not fea-
sible and the requirement of competitive bidding is hereby
waived and the City Manager is hereby authorized to award
a contract for roof repair at the Granite Mountain and South
Little Rock Recreation Centers to A.W. Hepp Company at the
prices quoted on their bid of #9270 : $15 ,492 . 00 for Granite
Mountain and $5 , 406 . 00 for the South Little Rock Recreation
Center.
SECTION 2. It is hereby determined that there is an
immediate need for roof repair and the contract authorized
in this resolution is necessary to the preservation of the
public peace , health and safety and it is for this reason
com competitive bidding that p g is waived.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
