A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A WARRANTY DEED TO LANDS IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO BE USED FOR PARK PURPOSES:
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has in the years 1975, 1976, 1977,
and 1978 accepted Warranty Deeds from Phillip Howard Thom, Jr. and
Geraldine M. Thom, his wife, Ronald H. Thom, Sidney M. Thom, and
Penelope B. Thom, his wife, each such Deed conveying an undivided
one-fifth interest in a parcel of land hereinafter described to be used
for park purposes, being four of five such conveyances to the City of
Little Rock at one year intervals over a period of five years; and
WHEREAS, the aforenamed persons have conveyed to the City of Little
Rock a Warranty Deed dated September 17, 1979 conveying an undivided
one-fifth interest in the lands hereinafter described, giving the City
of Little Rock complete and total ownership of said lands, and the City
would by this Resolution accept said Warranty Deed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby accept a Warranty
Deed from Phillip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. Thom, his wife,
Ronald H. Thom, Sidney M. Thom and Penelope B. Thom, his wife, conveying
an undivided one-fifth (1/5) interest in the following described parcel
of land to be used for public park purposes:
Part of the SW 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 24, T-1-N, R-12-W, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
All of that part of the SW 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 24, T-1-N,
R-12-W, lying west of Gillam Park Road, except the north 250'
thereof, containing 17 acres, more or less.
A copy of said Deed is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.

WARRANTY DEED
WITH RELINQUISHMENT OF DOWER
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT WE, Philip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. , his wife; Ronald H. Thom,
an unmarried person; Sidney M. Thom and Penelope B. , his wife, as a gift to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, do hereby grant, donate, dedicate, and convey unto the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, its successors and assigns forever, the following
lands lying in the County of Pulaski and the State of Arkansas, to-wit:
An undivided one-fifth (1/5) intereste in a part of the SW 1/4,
NW 1/4, Section 24, T-1-N, R-12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows:
All of that part of the SW 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 24, T-1-N,
R-12-W, lying west of Gillam Park Road, except the north 250'
thereof, containing 17 acres more or less.
TO HAVE AND HOLD the same unto the said Grantee and unto its successors and
assins forever, with all the appurtenances thereto belonging.
Grantee, as a part of the consideration hereof, does covenant that it will
permanently maintain and use said land for public purposes.
We, the Grantors, hereby covenant with Grantee that we will forever warrant
and defend the title to the said lands against all lawful claims.
And we, Geraldine M. Thom and Penelope B. Thom in consideration of the above
mentioned and set forth, hereby release and relinquish unto the said Grantee all

absence of her said husband, declared that she had, of her own free will, executed
the foregoing conveyance and signed and sealed the relinquishment of dower and
homestead therein expressed, for the purposes and consideration therein contained
and set forth, without compulsion and/or undue influence of her said husband.
