6235 RESOLUTION NO. 6 , 235
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PROVISION OF SEWER
SERVICE TO SEWER DISTRICT NO. 142 UPON ANNEX-
ATION TO THE CITY AND TO ALEXANDER.
WHEREAS, an area in the Interstate 30 corridor consisting
of Sewer District 142 has filed a petition to annex to the
City of Little Rock;
WHEREAS, the City of Alexander is bounded on three sides
by Sewer Improvement District No. 142 and has no sewer service
at present;
WHEREAS, the City of Alexander can receive sewer service
only through an extension of the Little Rock Waste Water Utility
system and is eligible for Environmental Protection Agency
funding subject to the extension of the Little Rock system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock is committed to the
provision of water and sewer service to Waste Water Utility
Improvement District No. 142 subject to its annexation to the
City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2 . The City Board of Directors is supportive of
provision of sewer service to Alexander and encourages the
Waste Water Utility to facilitate service provision to
Alexander, previously adopted policies notwithstanding.
