A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE SIGN BOARD OF
REVIEW OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
TO EXERCISE ITS POWER TO INTERPRET THE
PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 44 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK IN
SUCH A MANNER AS TO ENCOURAGE THE USE OF
THOSE SIGNS WHICH ARE IN CONFORMITY WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAW, WHICH PROTECT
AND ARE APPROPRIATE FOR THE SURROUNDING
PROPERTY, AND WHICH ADD TO ENJOYMENT OF
THE RESIDENTS AND VISITORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, one of the powers of the Sign Board of Review
is to interpret the provisions of Chapter 44 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Little Rock in such a way as to
carry out the purpose and intent of that Chapter.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . The Sign Board of Review is hereby directed
to exercise its power to interpret the provisions of Chapter
44 of The Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock in
such a manner as to encourage the use of those signs which
are in conformity with the provisions of the law, which
protect and are appropriate for the surrounding property and
which add to the enjoyment of the residents and visitors of
the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption,
