A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CITY RIVERFRONT
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN; ADOPTING THE CITY RIVER-
FRONT REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AS A GUIDE TO REDE-
VELOPMENT IN THE AREA OF THE ARKANSAS RIVER
FRONTAGE BETWEEN THE MAIN STREET AND BROADWAY
STREET BRIDGES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has recently acquired
the Arkansas River frontage between Main Street and Broadway
Street bridges for the purpose of refurbishing this area for
public use; and
WHEREAS, the bond issue of 1976 has designated funds for
the purpose of initiating this redevelopment process; and
WHEREAS, a redevelopment plan has been prepared at the
behest of the City and presented for consideration by the
City; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to
endorse the City Riverfront Redevelopment Plan and to adopt it
as a guide to redevelopment in the area of the Arkansas River
Frontage between the Main Street and Broadway Street Bridges;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas hereby endorses the City Riverfront Redevelopment
Plan and adopts it as a guide to redevelopment in the area of
the Arkansas River frontage between the Main Street and Broadway
Street bridges.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
