A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO CONVEY TO R. WINGFIELD MARTIN AND
BOBBIE ANN MARTIN, HIS WIFE , THE LANDS PUR-
CHASED FROM THEM FOR THE MAUMELLE SEWER
TREATMENT PLANT SITE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, on or about May 15, 1976 , the Little Rock Sanitary
Sewer Committee purchased, under threat of condemnation, certain
lands hereinafter described from R. Wingfield Martin and Bobbie Ann
Martin, his wife, for the Maumelle Sewer Treatment Plant Site;
WHEREAS , this Board directed the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer
Committee to abandon this site and seek other lands;
WHEREAS, R. Wingfield Martin and Bobbie Ann Martin, his wife,
have offered to purchase the land from the City for the sum of
$86, 625. 00, which represents the purchase price paid plus interest
thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee at its July
meeting adopted a resolution recommending the reconveyance to the
Martins;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to convey to R. Wingfield Martin and Bobbie Ann Martin,
his wife, the following described lands:
The South 17 1/2 acres of the North Half of the
Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and
the West 5 acres of the South Half of the South-
east Quarter Northeast Quarter, all in Section 7 ,
Township 2 North, Range 13 West, in Pulaski County,
Arkansas,
for the sum of $86, 625. 00
SECTION 2 . This resolution shall be in full force and effect
after its adoption.
