RESOLUTION NO. 6,177
A RESOLUTION MAKING APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO THE
CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION, CITY SAFETY COMMISSION, MUSEUM OF
SCIENCE & HISTORY, LITTLE ROCK HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION,
OAKLAND-FRATERNAL CEMETERY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, LITTLE ROCK
PORT AUTHORITY AND THE ARKANSAS ARTS CENTER; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Mr. Lynn Davis is hereby reappointed to a six-year term on

the Little Rock Civil Service Commission ending April 7, 197; and Judge Darrell
F. Brown is appointed to fill the unexpired term of P. A. Hollingsworth, ending
April 1, 1981.
SECTION 2. The following named persons are hereby reappointed to the City
Safety Commission to three-year terms ending January 2, 1982: Mrs. Gordon P.
Oates and Mrs. Ercell Ish. Maurey Loket is appointed to a three-year term ending
January 2, 1982, replacing W. H. Patterson; and Harlan T. Holmes is appointed to
a three-year term ending January 2, 1982, replacing Gilbert Glover, on the Safety
Commission.
SECTION 3. Mr. Lex Golden is hereby appointed to fill the unexpired term
of Dr. Gary Heidt on the Museum of Science & History Board of Trustees, ending
November 15, 1982.
SECTION 4. Mr. John Jarrad is reappointed to a three-year term ending
June 15, 1982 on the Little Rock Historic District Commission.
SECTION 5. The following named persons are hereby reappointed to three-
year terms on the Oakland-Fraternal Cemetery Board, ending June 1, 1982: Frank
Smith, Mrs. Lillian Thomas and Charles R. Shelton.
SECTION 6. Mr. Fred I. Brown is hereby reappointed to a five-year term ending
July 6, 1984, on the Little Rock Port Authority.
SECTION 7. The following named persons are hereby appointed to four-year terms
on the Arkansas Arts Center, ending June 30, 1983: Mrs. John R. Gardner, William
L. Cravens, Mrs. Dwight E. Linkous, Mrs. Harry W. Pfeifer, Jr. and Robert Shults.
Mrs. Charles Alston Jennings is also appointed to the Arkansas Arts Center to fill
the unexpired term of James A. Moses, whose term would have expired on July 1, 1981.

SECTION 8. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
