13748 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,748 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BALE CHEVROLET FOR THE PURCHASE 5 OF THREE (3) CHEVROLET VANS FOR THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY- 6 FIVE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-NINE DOLLARS ($25,159.00) 7 EACH, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND, 8 FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-SEVEN DOLLARS ($75,477.00), FOR USE 9 OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND FOR 10 OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is in need of three (3) vans to replace older vans 13 that require excessive down time, repairs and maintenance; and, 14 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock advertised for bids for the purchase of three (3) vans for the 15 Parks and Recreation Department, and Bale Chevrolet submitted the most responsive and responsible bid 16 in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand, One Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($25,159.00) each, for a total 17 amount of Seventy-Five Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars($75,477.00); and, 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 21 Bale Chevrolet to purchase three (3) Chevrolet Vans for the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand, One 22 Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($25,159.00) each, for a total amount of Seventy-Five Thousand, Four 23 Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars($75,477.00), for the use of the Parks and Recreation Department. 24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase will be paid from the 2012 3/8-Cent Capital Improvements Sales 25 Tax Funding for the Parks and Recreation Expanded Maintenance Account. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
