A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AN URBAN JOB CORPS. CENTER
FOR LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Labor, Opportunities
Industrialization Centers of America and the Little Rock OIC
have approached the City regarding the potential for locating
an Urban Job Corps. Center in Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the proposed center would accommodate 200 participants
from the Central Arkansas area and would be operated by Little
Rock OIC; and
WHEREAS , the Department of Labor has agreed to provide the
Board of Directors with three positions on a seven-member Opera-
tional Advisory Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The Board of Directors supports the locating of
an Urban Job Corps. Center in Little Rock.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
