A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A BID AND AWARDING
A CONTRACT FOR REMODELING OF LITTLE ROCK
PUBLIC LIBRARY RESTROOMS FOR ACCESSIBILITY
OF THE HANDICAPPED; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for remodeling of
restrooms at the Little Rock Public Library for accessibility
of the handicapped; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has been
determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to autho-
rize such remodeling from the lowest responsible and responsive
bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . A contract is hereby awarded to R & R Construction
Company of Hensley, Arkansas for remodeling the restrooms at the
Little Rock Public Library for accessibility of the handicapped
at a bid price of $5, 963. 00 . A copy of the Abstract of bids is
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though
set out herein word for word. Funds for such remodeling is
available in Community Development Block Grant funds .
SECTION 2 . All work authorized herein shall comply at all
times with the bidding specifications. Upon completion of the
project the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized to issue the necessary warrant in payment thereof.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
