A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES ON PUBLIC WORK PROJECTS
TO BE FUNDED THROUGH THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION
PURSUANT TO THE FEDERAL PUBLIC WORKS ACT; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1 . The City of Little Rock hereby establishes numerically a
priority of projects to be funded by the Economic Development Administration
pursuant to authority from the Federal Public Works Act as follows :
(I ) Pulaski County Juvenile Facilities
(2) Animal Shelter
(3) Interstate Park Ballfield Complex
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized acting for and on behalf
of the City of Little Rock to make application to the Economic Development
Administration pursuant to authority of the Federal Public Works Act for funds
needed to construct and provide the facilities and projects provided for in
Section I hereof.
SECTION 3. The firm of Summerlin and Associates is hereby appointed
Engineers to prepare the preliminary plans for the Interstate Park Project; and
the firm of Blass, Riddick and Chilcote is hereby appointed Architects to prepare
preliminary plans for the Animal Shelter.
SECTION 4. The Pulaski County Judge is hereby requested to demolish the old
County Jail situated north of LaHarpe Boulevard, maintain and improve Ironton Road
from Dixon Road to the Little Rock Sanitary Landfill , and dedicate the necessary
road right-of-way across the County Penal Farm needed in the construction of the
Pinnacle Mountain Parkway.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
