A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A WARRANTY DEED TO LANDS
IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO BE USED FOR PARK
PURPOSES ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, on December 16, 1975, the City of Little Rock accepted
a Warranty Deed from Phillip Howard Thom, Jr . and Geraldine M. Thom,
his wife, Ronald H. Thom, Sidney M. Thom, and Penelope B. Thom, his
wife, conveying an undivided one-fifth (1/5) interest in a certain
parcel of land hereinafter described to be used for park purposes, the
first of five such conveyances to the City to be conveyed at successive
five year intervals; and,
WHEREAS, on December 22, 1976, the said Phillip Howard Thom, Jr .
and Geraldine M. Thom, his wife, Ronald H. Thom, Sidney M. Thom and
Penelope B. Thom, his wife, conveyed an undivided one-fifth (1/5) interest
in that same said parcel of land hereinafter described to be used for
park purposes, giving the City a two--fifths (2/5) interest in said lands;
and,
WHEREAS, the City o uld accept that said Warranty Deed dated Decem-
ber 22, 1976.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby accept a Warranty
Deed from Phillip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. Thom, his wife,
Ronald H. Thom, Sidney M. Thom, and Penelope B. Thom, his wife, conveying
an undivided one-fifth (1/5) interest in the following described parcel
of land to be used for public park purposes :
Part of the NW4, SW, , Section 24, T-1-N,
R-12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more
particularly described as follows :
All of that part of the SW4, NW' , Section 24,
T-1-N, R-12-W, lying west of Gillam Park Road,
except the north 250 ' thereof, containing 17
acres, more or less .
A copy of said Deed is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.

WARRANTY DEED
WITH RELINQUISHMENT OF DOWER
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT WE, Philip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. , his wife; Ronald H. Thom,
an unmarried person; Sidney M. Thom and Penelope B. , his wife, as a gift to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, do hereby grant, donate, dedicate, and convey unto
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, its successors and assigns forever, the following
lands lying in the County of Pulaski and the State of Arkansas, to-wit:
An undivided one fifth (1/5) interest in a part of the NW1/4, SW1/4, Section
24, T-1-N, R-12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, More particularly described as
follows:
All of that part of the SW 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 24, T-1-•N, R-12-W,
lying west of Gillam Park Road, except the north 250' thereof, con-
taining 17 acres more or less.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same unto the said Grantee and unto its successors
and assigns forever, with all the appurtenances thereto belonging.
Grantee, as a part of the consideration hereof, does covenant that it will
permanently maintain and use said land for public purposes.
We, the Grantors, hereby covenant with said Grantee that we will forever
warrant and defend the title to the said lands against all lawful claims.
And we, Geraldine M. Thom and Penelope B. Thom in consideration of the above
mentioned and set forth, hereby release and relinquish unto the said Grantee
all our rights of dower and homestead in and to the said lands.

the same for the consideration, uses and purposes therein mentioned and set forth.
And on the same day also voluntarily appeared before me in person Geraldine
M. Thom, wife of the said Philip Howard Thom, Jr. , to we well known, and, in the
absence of her said husband, declared that she had, of her own free will, executed
the foregoing conveyance and signed and sealed the relinquishment of dower and
homestead therein expressed, for the purposes and consideration therein contained
and set forth, without compulsion and/or undue influence of her said husband.
