RESOLUTION NO 5,653
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF BLAKEMORE DRAINAGE DITCH IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN
THE OAK FOREST AREA; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for the construction
of Blakemore drainage ditch improvements within the Oak Forest
Area; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has
been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to authorize said construction from the lowest responsible and
responsive bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . A contract is hereby awarded to Simco, Inc.
of North Little Rock, Arkansas for construction of Blakemore
drainage ditch improvements in the Oak Forest Area at a contract
price of $370 , 490 . 40 . A copy of the Abstract of Bids is attached
to this Resolution as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as
though set out herein word for word. Funds for said construction
project are available in Community Development Block Grant Funds
Account No . B-75-MC-05-0004 .
SECTION 2 . The work authorized herein shall at all times
comply with bidding specifications . The City Manager and
Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue
the necessary warrants from time to time as deemed necessary
in payment of the contract price .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
