5594 RESOLUTION NO 5;594 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE LITTLE ROCK HOUSING AUTHORITY TO DELAY DEMOLITION OF THE TENENBAUM BUILDING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, The Little Rock Housing Authority has awarded a contract for demolition of the Tenenbaum Building which is located on the north end of Rock Street adjacent to the Arkansas River, said contract to be effective September 16 , 1976; and WHEREAS, a group of citizens in Little Rock has requested that the said demolition be delayed for a ninety (90) day period in order that a feasibility study be conducted to determine possible uses of the said building; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors have no objection to said ninety (90) day delay and therefore recommend that the Housing Authority delay demolition of said building for the said ninety day period. NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock hereby requests the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock to delay demolition of the Tenenbaum Building for a ninety (90) day period in order that a feasibility study might be conducted to determine possible uses of the building.
