A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
MAKE APPLICATION FOR AND RECEIVE LEAA GRANT
FUNDS TO EXTEND THE RESIDENTIAL AREA PATROL
FOR A SECOND YEAR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make
application for and to receive LEAA grant funds to defray the
costs of the Residential Area Patrol for the second year. The
prime purpose of said patrol is to reduce residential burglaries
by placing walking patrolmen in high crime areas .
SECTION 2 . There is hereby designated within those funds
to be appropriated for the 1976 Operating Budget the sum of
$180, 900 . 00 to provide the City 's 54 .6% share of the funding
formula.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
