5465 RESOLUTION NO 5,465 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A WARRANTY DEED TO LANDS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO BE USED FOR PARK PURPOSES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas does hereby accept a Warranty Deed from Philip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. Thom,his wife, Ronald H. Thom, Sidney M. Thom and Penelope B. Thom, his wife conveying an undivided one fifth (1/5) interest in the following described parcel of land to be used for public park purposes : Part of the NW4 SW4, Section 24 , T-1-N, R-12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas , more particularly described as follows : All of that part of the SW4, NW4, Section 24, T-1-N, R-12-W lying west of Gillam Park road, except the north 250 ' thereof, con- taining 17 acres , more or less . SECTION 2 . A copy of said Deed is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution. SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. WARRANTY DEED WITH RELINQUISHMENT OF DOWER KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS : THAT WE, Philip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. , his wife; Ronald H. Thom, an unmarried person; Sidney M. Thom and Penelope B. , his wife, as a gift to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, do hereby grant, donate, dedicate, and convey unto the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , its successors and assigns forever, the following lands lying in the County of Pulaski and the State of Arkansas, to-wit: An undivided one fifth (1/5) interest in a part of the NW4, SW4, Section 24, T-1-N, R-12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows : All of that part of the SW4j NW4, Section 24, T-1-N, R-12-W, lying west of Gillam Park Road , except the north 250 ' thereof , containing 17 acres more or less . TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same unto the said Grantee and unto its successors and assigns forever, with all the appurtenances there- to belonging. Grantee, as a part of the consideration hereof, does covenant that it will permanently maintain and use said land for public purposes . We, the Grantors , hereby covenant with said Grantee that we will forever warrant 'and defend the title to the said lands against all law- ful claims. And we, Geraldine M. Thom and Penelope B. Little Rock, Arkansas MEMORANDUM AGREEMENT This Agreement entered into this �� day of December, 1975 by and between Sidney M. Thom and Penelope B. Thom, his wife and by Sidney M. Thom as Agent for Phillip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. Thom, his wife, and Ronald H. Thom, an unmarried person hereinafter referred to as Grantors and the City of Little Rock. Whereas, the Grantors have decided to convey to the City of Little Rock by dedication the following described lands lying in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to-wit: All of that part of the SW4, NW4, Section 24, T-1-N, R-12-W lying west of Gillam Park Road, except the North 250 ' thereof, containing 17 acres more or less. And said Grantors have elected to convey an undivided one fifth (1/5) interest in the said lands to the City of Little Rock for five (5) consecutive years beginning in 1975 and each year thereafter until the entire fee has been conveyed to the City of Little Rock, and The City of Little Rock agrees on its part to accept such dedication and further agrees that it will maintain and use said lands for public purposes.
