A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR MAINTENANCE
OF TYPEWRITERS, ADDING MACHINES & CALCULATORS
FOR THE YEAR 1976 ; AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER PARTS AND
MAINTENANCE SERVICE AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT PARTS
AND MAINTENANCE FOR THE YEAR 1976; WAIVING COM-
PETITIVE BIDDING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for a maintenance
contract for typewriters, adding machines and calculators
belonging to the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, International Harvester Company and Little Rock
Road Machinery Company are the only source of supply for Inter-
national Harvester parts and attachments and heavy equipment
and therefore competitive bids should be waived and awards made
based upon the written quotations and proposals of the respective
supplier of materials, equipment and/or service; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders
have been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to authorize maintenance contracts for typewriters, adding machines
and calculators for the year 1976 to the lowest responsible and
responsive bidders.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Contracts are hereby awarded for maintenance of
typewriters, adding machines and calculators for the year 1976
to those bidders and at the contract price as set out on Exhibit
"A" hereto, which said exhibit is made a part hereof.
SECTION 2 . Inasmuch as International Harvester Company and
Little Rock Road Machinery Company are the only source of supply
for parts and attachments for International Harvester vehicles and
heavey equipment machinery, competitive bidding is hereby waived
and awards shall be made based upon the written quotations and
proposals of the respective supplier of materials , equipment
and/or service.

SECTION 3. Funds for contract prices of maintenance and
parts provided for herein are provided for in the Fiscal Year
1976 Budget.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
