5424 RESOLUTION NO 5,424
A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE RECOMMENDATION
OF THE STEERING COMMITTEE OF THE RODNEY PARHAM
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The proposal of a steering committee of pro-
ponents of a proposed improvement district for the purpose
of grading, draining, widening, curbing, guttering, bridging
and paving the following streets within the City of Little
Rock is hereby endorsed:
1) Rodney Parham from the North line of Interstate 630
(Wilbur Mills Freeway) to the intersection of Rodney
Parham Road and Napa Valley Drive (Mara Lynn Road) ;
2) Markham Street from Ellis Drive to Shackleford
Road (less the Interstate 430 crossing) ;
3) Shackleford Road from North line of Markham
Street to vicinity of Kings Mountain Drive; and
4) John Barrow Road from South line to Markham Street
to its intersection with Kanis Road (West 12th
Street Pike) .
SECTION 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and re-
quested to request the Arkansas State Highway Department to
initiate plans for all or that part of the proposed improvements
identified in Section 1 hereof in which the said Department may
participate to the end that any such approved phase or phases
of construction by the Department may be commenced as soon as
funds are available.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
