5392 RESOLUTION NO 5,392 A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF STREET MARKING COMPOUND AND THE 1975 STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received in response thereto according to law for the purchase of street marking compound and for the resurfacing of certain streets in the City of Little Rock; and WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidders have been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to award contracts to the lowest responsible and responsive bidders . NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS SECTION 1 . The lowest responsible and responsive bids on the purchase of street marking compound and the resurfacing of certain streets in the City of Little Rock are hereby accepted and contracts awarded as follows: Purchase Item Successful Bidder Price 1,000 gallons white traffic Interstate Highway Sign $3, 841 .90 marking compound Company, Little Rock, AR. @ $3 . 73 per gallon 1, 800 gallons yellow traffic 7 , 341 . 84 marking compound @ $3. 96 Resurfacing of certain streets Ben M. Hogan Company $308, 818 .62 in the City of Little Rock Little Rock, Ark . (1975 Street Resurfacing Program) Those certain streets included in the 1975 Street Resurfacing Program are identified on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2 . Funds are available for the purchase of the street marking compound in Traffic Engineering Division Account #93-2 . 14 ; funds for the Street Resurfacing Program were budgeted in the 1975 Budget for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas . SECTION 3. Upon delivery of the street marking compound and completion of the work, or from time to time as may be -2- necessary, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the contract prices . Said items purchased and work performed shall comply in all respects with bidding specifications . SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
