A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXERCISE AN OPTION IN FAVOR
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO PURCHASE A
3. 8 ACRE TRACT OF LAND NEEDED FOR THE RIVER
MOUNTAIN PARK PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , The City of Little Rock has been granted the
option on June 12, 1975 to purchase the following described
real property situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas :
Beginning at the SE corner of the NE4 NE4,
Sec. 20 , T-2-N, R-13-W; thence north 1° 06 'W
424 feet to the south line of a power easement
and the point of beginning; thence north 69°
38 ' W following the south line of said power
easement 555 feet to a point; thence north
1° 06 ' W 330 feet more or less to a point on
the rear lotline of Lot 3, Block 5 , Walton
Heights Subdivision; thence southeasterly
590 feet more or less along the rear lot lines
of a portion of Lot 3, all of Lots 4 , 5, 6 , 7, 8,
and a portion of Lot 9 to a concrete monument
on the east line of Section 20 ; thence south
1° 06 ' E to the point of beginning; and
WHEREAS, it is determined that the said property is now
needed to complete the purchase of those lands comprising the
River Mountain Park project and it is the desire of the Board
of Directors to exercise the said option and purchase said
property.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed, acting for and on behalf of the City of Little Rock
to exercise that certain option dated June 12 , 1975 in favor
of the City of Little Rock, now on file in the real estate office
of the City of Little Rock, to purchase from the record owners
thereof, that real property hereinabove described for a total
consideration of $4 , 000. 00 . Funds for the purchase of River
Mountain Park land were appropriated by the Board of Directors
by Ordinance # 12 , 904 , dated March 19 , 1974 .
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant
or warrants in payment of the purchase price herein provided for
to the person or persons entitled thereto according to the opinion
of the City Attorney so as to vest fee simple title to said property

SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption .
