3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH STRYKER MEDICAL IN THE AMOUNT OF
5 NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS
6 ($98,640.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) POWER
7 AMBULANCE COTS FOR USE BY METROPOLITAN EMERGENCY
8 MEDICAL SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock City Manager's Office/Emergency Management Division is committed
11 to improving emergency medical response throughout the City; and,
12 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal, the City Manager's Office/Emergency Management
13 Division proposes the purchase of eight powered ambulance cots for use by Metropolitan Emergency
14 Medical Services; and,
15 WHEREAS, Bid #13131 was issued and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received
16 from Stryker Medical, in the amount of Ninety-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred Forty Dollars($98,640.00);
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
20 METI Incorporated, for the purchase of eight powered ambulance cots for use by Metropolitan
21 Emergency Medical Services for the amount of Ninety-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred Forty Dollars
22 ($98,640.00).
23 Section 2. Funding for this purchase will be provided through the State Homeland Security Grant
24 Program with no fiscal impact on the City of Little Rock.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
