3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR FIFTEEN (15)
4 TRAFFIC SIGNAL VIDEO DETECTION SYSTEMS NEEDED FOR THE
5 2013 ASPHALT RESURFACING PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Replacement traffic detection systems are needed as a part of the 2013 Asphalt
9 Resurfacing Program, therefore, bids were solicited for fifteen (15) Traffic Signal Video Detection
10 Systems, Bid No. 2013-130; and,
11 WHEREAS, Econolite, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting specifications at
12 Seventy-Eight Thousand, One Hundred Eleven Dollars ($78,111.00); Seventy-One Thousand, Ten
13 Dollars($71,010.00)plus 10%contingencies;
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Econolite, Inc. for
17 Bid No. 2013-130, in the amount of Seventy-Eight Thousand, One Hundred and Eleven Dollars
18 ($78,111.00); Seventy-One Thousand,Ten Dollars($71,010.00)plus 10% contingencies.
19 Section 2. Funding for this project is to be from the 2013 Limited Tax General Obligation
20 Capital Improvement Bonds funded by real property tax millage proceeds.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
28 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
