3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO CROMWELL
4 ARCHITECTS ENGINEERS, INC., FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL
5 SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR
6 OTHER MATTERS.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock periodically has a need for small architectural or engineering
9 services but the projects are such that a formal competitive selection process is not appropriate; and,
10 WHEREAS, a formal Request for Qualifications (Bid #C13001) issued by the City of Little Rock
11 elicited three(3)responses which were evaluated by a committee selected by the City Manager; and,
12 WHEREAS, the evaluation committee recommended that the firm Cromwell Architects Engineers,
13 Inc., receive the contract, and negotiated a contract that allows two (2) additional one (1)-year extensions
14 that are mutually agreeable to the parties;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Cromwell Architects
18 Engineers, Inc. ("the Firm"), for periodic architectural or engineering work that the City might need, with
19 the further authority to enter into an additional two(2)extensions of one (1)-year each if mutually agreed
20 upon by the City and the Firm.
21 Section 2. Funds for this agreement will come from various departmental budgets as needed by the
22 City of Little Rock.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
