A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE REPAIR
OF A TD-25C BULLDOZER AT THE LITTLE ROCK LAND-
FILL; WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , A TD-25C Bulldozer, owned by the City and in use
at the Little Rock Landfill is now inoperable and in need of
engine repair work; and
WHEREAS , inasmuch as Little Rock Road & Machinery Company
is the only known supplier of parts for said bulldozer and it
is urgent that this machine be put back into operation as soon
as possible; and
WHEREAS, it has been estimated that engine repair costs
will not exceed the sum of $6 ,699 . 12 .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. A contract for engine repair work on a TD-25C
bulldozer owned by the City of Little Rock is hereby awarded
to Little Rock Road & Machinery Company for a contract price
not to exceed the sum of $6 , 699 . 12 , which sum includes parts
and labor.
SECTION 2 . The repair of said tractor is determined by
the Board of Directors to be an exceptional situation justifying
the waiving of competitive bidding for this said repair work
and said competitive bidding is hereby waived.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the repair work to the
satisfaction of the Director of Community Development , the City
Manager and Director of finance are hereby authorized and directed
to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment thereof not
to exceed the sum of $6 ,699 . 12
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
