A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR FIRE AND
EXTENDED INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR BUILDINGS OWNED
BY THE CITY TOGETHER WITH THE CONTENTS THEREIN;
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for the purchase of
fire and extended coverage on buildings owned by the City of
Little Rock together with all contents therein contained; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has
been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to authorize the purchase of the said insurance from the lowest
responsible and responsive bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF II TILE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bid on
fire and extended coverage for buildings owned by the City of
Little Rock together with all contents contained therein has
been determined and a contract is hereby awarded to Cobb, Atkins ,
Boyd & Eggleston, Inc. for a three year period commencing April 11,
1975 . Price for said insurance coverage is $19 , 463 . 00 for each
year, for a three year total of $58 , 389 . 00 with $500 . 00 deductible.
Funds are available for said insurance as set out in the 1975
Budget for the City.
SECTION 2 . The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant
or warrants as may be necessary from time to time for said in-
surance coverage. Said insurance shall comply in all respects
with bid specifications now on file in the office of the Director
of Finance .
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
