A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEDICATION DEEDS TO LAND IN RIVER
MOUNTAIN PARK; EXPRESSING THE CITY ' S APPRECIATION ; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City of Little Rock does hereby accept a
Dedication Deed for lands in the River Mountain Park area from the
following persons :
Jay W . Hill Nannette B . Maris
Elizabeth F . Hill Mahlon 0 . Maris
J . F . Hill Kay R . Maris
Patricia P . Hill Eugene Lee Maris
Richard C . Butler Barbara B . Maris
Gertrude Butler Robert S . Maris
Gertrude Walker Stephanie W . Maris
Buy Maris , III J . Wythe Walker
Said lands are to be used for park and recreation purposes . Copies
of the Dedication Deeds herein referred to are attached hereto as
Exhibits .
SECTION 2 . The City expresses its deep appreciation to these
persons for the dedication of this land .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .

Elizabeth F. Hill , his wife , J. F. Hill and Patricia P. Hill ,
his wife , Richard C. Butler and Gertrude Butler, his wife,

150 ' public road right of way which is adjacent to
the 100 ' Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad
right of way and lies south of the center line of
the Little Maumelle and the Arkansas Rivers , excluding
a 2 .67 acre portion of land in the I-430 right of way,
containing 29 acres more or less .
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same unto the said City of
Little Rock, and unto its successors and assigns forever, with
all appurtenances thereunto belonging.
GRANTEE , as a part of the consideration hereof , does
covenant (as a covenant running with the land) that it will
permanently maintain and use said land for recreational and
park purposes ,with the desire (but not as a condition of
this gift or as a restriction upon use or alienability) that
the use of this park generally be restricted to passive type
recreational purposes and that motor bicycles , motorcycles , or
any other motorized bike piece of equipment not be permitted
to use the trails and walkways .
And we , Elizabeth F. Hill , Patricia P. Hill , Gertrude
Butler, Nannette B . Maris , Kay R. Maris (same person as Anita
Kay Maris) , Barbara B. Maris and Stephanie W. Maris , wives of
the said J. W. Hill a/k/a James W. Hill , Trustee, J. F. Hill,
Richard C. Butler, Guy Maris III , Mahlon O. Maris , Eugene Lee
Maris and Robert S. Maris , respectively, for and in consideration
of the said sum of money , do hereby release and relinquish unto
the said Grantee all our rights of dower and homestead in
and to the said lands .
