13730 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,730 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WORKPLACE RESOURCES, INC., FOR 5 THE PURCHASE OF INTERIOR FURNISHINGS FOR THE CENTRE AT 6 UNIVERSITY PARK, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED 7 TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY-THREE AND 8 NO/100 DOLLARS ($122,683.00) ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City has negotiated with two (2) vendors, who currently have State contracts to 11 provide furniture,for the purchase of interior furnishings for The Centre at University Park; and, 12 WHEREAS; Workplace Resources, Inc., provided the lowest acceptable bid; and, 13 WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the bid and determined it to be responsive and responsible and 14 recommends entering into a contract with the bidder to provide interior furnishings for The Centre at 15 University Park, in the amount of One Hundred Ten Thousand, Four Hundred Fifteen Dollars 16 ($110,415.00), plus a 10% contingency for a total of One Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred 17 Eighty-Three Dollars($122,683.00). 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 21 Workplace Resources, Inc. to provide interior furnishings for The Centre at University Park, in the 22 amount of One Hundred Ten Thousand, Four Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($110,415.00), plus a 10% 23 contingency for a total of One Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred Eighty-three Dollars 24 ($122,683.00). 25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available through insurance proceeds and the 2012 3/8-Cent 26 Capital Improvements Sales Tax Funding for the development of The Centre at University Park. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
