13725 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,725 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TRUCK CENTER OF ARKANSAS FOR THE 5 PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 12-CUBIC-YARD DUMP TRUCK FOR THE 6 AMOUNT OF NINETY-THREE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED SIXTY- 7 SIX DOLLARS ($93,166.00, FOR USE OF THE PARKS AND 8 RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department is in need of a twelve (12) cubic-yard Dump Truck as a 11 necessary addition to its fleet of vehicles to be utilized in the accomplishment of ongoing and future 12 construction projects in the City's Parks system; and, 13 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock advertised for bids for the purchase of one (1), twelve(12 cubic- 14 yard Dump Truck for the Parks and Recreation Department, and the Truck Center of Arkansas submitted 15 the most responsive and responsible bid in the amount of Ninety-Three Thousand, One Hundred Sixty- 16 Six and No/l 00 Dollars ($93,166.00); and, 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 20 Truck Center of Arkansas to purchase one (1), twelve (12) cubic-yard Dump Truck in the amount of 21 Ninety-Three Thousand, One Hundred Sixty-Six and No/100 Dollars ($93,166.00) for the use of the 22 Parks and Recreation Department. 23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase will be paid from the 2012 3/8-Cent Capital & 5/8-Cent 24 Operational Improvements Sales Tax Funding. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
