A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN
VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION PETITIONS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK IN ORDER TO INCLUDE MUNICIPAL PROPERTIES
IN THE PETITION DRIVE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the success of petitions in the proposed annexation territory
will pivot on the percentage of land owners signing the voluntary annexation
document; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Community Development is coordinating City
assistance to this effort and has advised the City Manager that City owned
property may properly be included in annexation petitions.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign voluntary
annexation petitions on behalf of the City of Little Rock in order to include
municipal properties in the petition drive. Any governmental entities shall
be encouraged by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to join in this voluntary annexation.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
