A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
IMPLEMENT A PAY PLAN ADJUSTMENT WITH RESULTING
PAY INCREASES FOR CITY EMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE
OCTOBER 28, 1974; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City Manager, his staff and the Board of
Directors have heard city employees , individually and through
their representatives, relate their need for relief from the
pressures of a seemingly endless inflation; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and his staff have been directed
to prepare for the Board of Directors an affordable, meaningful
pay adjustment for city employees to provide relief from these
inflationary pressures; and
WHEREAS, a pay adjustment proposal has been received by
the Board of Directors from the City Manager and his staff.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized , acting
for and on behalf of the City of Little Rock, to implement the
following pay plan adjustments and increase city employees '
salaries in accordance with the newly adjusted pay plan as
follows :
A. Step 4 of each pay scale of the current pay plan shall
be increased to the nearest dollar as follows :
F 1 14 .5% P 1 13. 0%
F 2 14 .5% P 2 13. 0%
F 3 14 . 1% P 3 12 . 8%
F 4 13 . 7% P 4 12 . 6%
F 5 13 . 3% P 5 12 . 4%
F 6 12 . 7% P 6 11. 8%
F 7 12 . 3% P 7 11 . 6%
F 8 11. 7% P 8 11. 4%
F 9 11. 3% P 9 11. 2%
F 10 10 .9% P 10 11.0%
F 11 10 . 5% P 11 11. 0%
F 12 10 . 1%
F 13 9 . 7%
F 14 9 . 3%
F 15 8 . 9%
F 16 8 . 5%
F 17 8. 5%

B. Step 1 of each pay scale of the current pay plan shall
be increased to the nearest dollar as follows : by dividing the
new step 4 rates as computed above by the following percentages :
F 1 124% P 1 125%
F 2 124% P 2 125%
F 3 124% P 3 125%
F 4 124% P 4 125%
F 5 124% P 5 125%
F 6 122% P 6 125%
F 7 122% P 7 125%
F 8 122% P 8 125%
F 9 122% P 9 125%
F 10 122% P 10 125%
F 11 122% P 11 125%

F 16 120%
F 17 120%
C. Steps 1 A, 2 and 3 of each pay scale of the current
pay plan shall be adjusted to the nearest dollar as follows :
by multiplying the new step one rates as computed above by
the following percentages :
F 1 through F 5 - 106% for step 1 A, 112% for step 2 ,
118% for step 3
F 6 through F 17- 105% for step 1 A, 110% for step 2 ,
115% for step 3
P 1 through P 11- 105% for step 1A, 110% for step 2 ,
117% for step 3
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be effective on
October 28, 1974 .
