RESOLUTION NO 5,261
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO PULASKI
BANK & TRUST COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
AN OVERHANG OF TEN FEET OVER PART OF THE PUBLIC
RIGHT-OF-WAY OF GRANT, R, AND PIERCE STREETS
IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The Pulaski Bank & Trust Company of Little
Rock, Arkansas , organized and existing as a corporation under
the laws of the State of Arkansas , its successors and assigns ,
are hereby authorized to construct, use , occupy and maintain
an overhead structure over the streets of Grant, R, and Pierce
in the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2 . The overhead structure authorized in Section 1
hereof is permitted in the following described portions of the
right-of-way of Grant, "R" and Pierce Streets in the City of
Little Rock, more particularly described as follows :
Part of the Right of Way of Grant Street, "R" Street,
and Pierce Street in the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas , more particularly described as :
Beginning at the NW Corner Lot 13 , Block 7 , Mountain
Park Addition to the City of Little Rock; thence S
00° 54 ' E along the East R/W of Grant Street 140 . 0 '
to a point on the North R/W line of "R" Street; thence
East along the North R/W line of "R" Street 300 ' to a
point on the West R/W line of Pierce Street; thence
N 00° 54 ' W along the West R/W line of Pierce Street;
thence East 6 . 40 ' ; thence S 00° 54 ' E 149 .64 ' thence
West 311. 82 ' , thence N 00° 54 ' W 149 . 64 ' ; thence East
5 . 42 ' to the point of beginning containing 0 . 107 acres
more or less
SECTION 3 . Said overhead structure shall be constructed in
accordance with plans and specifications to be submitted to and
approved by an authorized representative of the City of Little
Rock prior to the beginning of such construction.
SECTION 4 . The City of Little Rock, in granting this
franchise, reserves the right to have the said overhead structure
or canopy removed at the cost and expense of the Pulaski Bank &
Trust Company if it should ever become necessary from the stand-
point of the public welfare that same be removed.
SECTION 5 . It is hereby found that the construction herein
authorized is needful and important from the standpoint of the

public welfare and that the postponement of the effective date
of this Ordinance will cause harmful delay in the construction
of said facility . Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this Resolution being necessary for the preservation
of the public welfare, peace and health, shall take effect and
be in force from and after the date of its adoption.
