A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FIRE PROTECTION
AGREEMENTS WITH THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
COMPANY OF LITTLE ROCK AND ALLIS-CHALMERS
CORPORATION FOR SERVICES OUTSIDE THE COR-
PORATE LIMITS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager, acting for and on behalf
of the City of Little Rock is hereby authorized to enter into
Fire Protection Agreements with The Industrial Development
Company of Little Rock and Allis-Chalmers Corporation for fire
protection outside the corporate limits in keeping with the
provisions of Section 13-13 of the Code of Ordinances, provided,
however, said agreement shall further be restricted in the
following particulars :
a) If the territory recently approved for annexation to
the City of Little Rock on May 3 , 1973 , now on appeal to the
Supreme Court of Arkansas , is reversed by that Court , then
these fire protection agreements shall terminate automatically.
b) These fire protection agreements are conditioned and
shall terminate on or before 180 days following such time as
the area comprising the 145th Street Industrial Park becomes
contiguous to the municipal boundary of the City of LIttle Rock.
During said 180 days the companies agree to voluntarily annex
their property to the corporate limits of Little Rock, Arkansas .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
